MCSecurity project at the International Fair of Techniques and Technical Achievements 2026

MCSecurity project team members successfully presented our latest research outcomes at this year’s International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements. Our exhibition focused on the critical intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity within industrial control systems.

Our project was presented to the public by Katarina Brenjo and Đorđe Jevtić, PhD students from the Laboratory for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (ROBOTICS & AI). They demonstrated how the robot utilizes heterogeneous sensors—primarily a stereo camera—alongside advanced AI algorithms to analyze its environment, make decisions, and navigate safely. Most importantly, they demonstrated how the robot responds to scenarios simulating potential cyberattacks on the control system of an intelligent mobile robot.

TiaGo, manufactured by the globally renowned company PAL Robotics, features an open software architecture. This allows our team to ensure significantly faster implementation, testing, and verification of AI algorithms designed to provide reliable, cyber-secure control of autonomous robotic systems.

“The configuration of our robot is based on a differential drive, and in addition, the robot features an advanced sensory subsystem—ranging from a stereo camera and ultrasonic sensors to a LiDAR system—which ensures reliable perception of its surroundings,” explained Đorđe Jevtić.

Within the framework of the MCSecurity project, TiaGo serves as a vital platform for verifying cyber-secure stereo visual control algorithms. The robot successfully executes its movements based on a continuous comparison between the current and the desired image of its environment.
