The MCSecurity project team members held a public lecture for university students

April 11, 2025

Prof. Dr. Zoran Miljković, a member of the MCSecurity project team, held an inspiring public lecture on cognitive mobile robotics and the application of artificial intelligence in the development of autonomous systems. More than 80 students and our colleagues attended the lecture, where Professor Dr. Zoran Miljković highlighted the significance of the MCSecurity project and emphasized the project’s importance for procuring capital equipment for research and educational purposes. Interesting topics that captured the audience’s attention included Artificial Neural Networks, Intelligent Control of Mobile Robots, and Biologically Inspired Optimization. During the lecture, it was shown how intelligent mobile robots RAICO and DOMINO, equipped with stereo vision perception systems, achieve their desired motion. These intelligent mobile robots were developed in the Laboratory for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (ROBOTICS & AI) under the direction of Prof. Miljković. Within the lecture, the concept of a flying mobile robot and a model of an autonomous vehicle with cognitive abilities were briefly presented, as examples of expanding the research focus. This lecture also served as an excellent opportunity to spark the students’ interest in their professional orientation and encourage them to further develop their knowledge in the field of AI.
