MCSecurity project was a part of the science-popular event called the European Researchers’ Night

October 3, 2025

During the European Researchers’ Night, the MCSecurity project was presented to the public through a live demonstration of the intelligent mobile robot TIAGo. Developed by PAL Robotics and introduced in Serbia within the collaboration between the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Duke University (USA), the mobile robot served as an effective platform for science communication and outreach. Visitors were introduced to TIAGo’s capabilities in perception, real-time object and face recognition, human–robot interaction, and decision-making. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the robot in research and testing of cybersecurity solutions for motion control systems in Industry 4.0 environments. The exhibit attracted considerable interest from a broad audience, including children, parents, and educators, as well as representatives of institutions and distinguished guests attending the event. Direct interaction with the robot enabled clear communication of the project’s scientific objectives and societal relevance. The event significantly contributed to raising awareness of cybersecurity challenges in industrial systems and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary and international cooperation.
